Chapter 7
The Right Step Goal
Greetings! After having talked to you about strength training for the last few days, I’d like to consider your daily activity for the next few tips.
A classical approach to measuring your daily activity is counting steps. Your iPhone or Apple Watch can count your steps for you in the background and your steps will magically appear in Treeceps!
But how many steps should you aim for everyday? Maybe you’ve heard about 10,000 steps being a typical daily step goal that’s recommended by experts.
10,000 steps per day is a great goal for healthy adults. However, 5,000-7,000 steps a day often is a more achievable goal for every individual.
Many people who are working in an office and go to work by car only achieve 2,000-3,000 steps a day.
Don’t get me wrong, 10,000 steps is a fantastic goal! But instead of trying to achieve the \“magical number of 10,000 steps \“, I’d recommend trying to increase your own daily activity level, step by step (literally).
As a Treeceps Club member, you can tap the shoe-icon at the top and select your daily step goal there. I’ll assist you and recommend a realistic personal step goal for you, based on your activity from the week before.
Be sure to try it out in the meantime! I look forward to seeing you again for the next tip tomorrow!
