Privacy Policy for Fastcinated and Fastcinated Pro

1. Controller and contact

Fastcinated helps adults document a fasting routine. This policy covers the iPhone and iPad app and its Apple Watch app, widgets and Live Activities. No account with me is required. The app has no advertising networks or advertising tracking across apps.

2. Your entries and settings

The app stores fasting start and end times, your chosen goal and protocol, optional notes and mood, your weekly plan, your goal selected during onboarding, reminder times and appearance settings on your device. Entries are used to calculate progress, Fasting Points, levels, coins, medals and unlocks. Historical reward transactions also prevent duplicate awards when devices synchronize.

I do not receive your fasting times, notes, mood, personal goals or health-check answers. These details are not sent to RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck or Game Center. Health-check answers are processed during setup only and are not stored permanently. Fastcinated does not access Apple Health and does not require access to contacts, location, camera or your photo library.

Local storage is necessary to provide the functions you request. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for necessary storage on your device, Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG. Health-related information is particularly sensitive. It is processed in the local or private iCloud storage you use, not on a health-data server operated by me. You may omit or remove optional information.

3. iCloud, device synchronization and backups

When iCloud is available and enabled for the app, Fastcinated synchronizes entries, plans and reward transactions through your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). Synchronization is enabled by default. You can turn it off in your profile; the change applies from the next app launch. Apple processes this data to provide your iCloud service. I cannot inspect your private database through an account of my own.

A reduced current snapshot is stored in the shared on-device app container for widgets. Through WatchConnectivity, the app exchanges the current fast, goal and weekly progress, level, Fasting Points, appearance and Pro entitlement with your paired Apple Watch. Watch start and finish actions are sent to the iPhone. This does not share your data publicly.

Widgets and Live Activities may display times and progress on your Lock Screen. System settings let you choose whether and where these views appear. Device backups may include app data independently of Fastcinated. Apple's privacy information also applies to iCloud and device backups.

4. Reminders, export and deletion

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device and displayed by the operating system with your permission. No fasting plan is sent to a push server operated by me for this purpose. You can change reminders in your profile and notification permission in system settings.

Entries are exported only when you request an export. A file is created on your device and passed to the destination you select in the share dialog. That destination is responsible for subsequent processing.

You can edit and delete entries in the app. Earned awards and virtual reward transactions remain independent of later corrections. For complete removal, also consider your iCloud data, device backups and exported files alongside local app data. Turning off iCloud does not automatically delete existing cloud data. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

5. Purchases and RevenueCat

Apple handles payments and subscriptions. I receive neither your payment details nor your Apple Account name. Fastcinated uses RevenueCat, Inc., USA, to verify, unlock and restore purchases. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier, purchase and transaction information including product and entitlement status, and technical app, device and operating-system information. The identifier is not your name, but can associate purchases within the service and should therefore not be equated with entirely anonymous data.

This processing serves contract performance, reliable restoration and abuse prevention (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The applicable data processing and international transfer arrangements with RevenueCat, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses, govern processing on our behalf and transfers. 6. Usage statistics and your choice

Fastcinated uses TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany) to improve the app. Events describe visited and completed onboarding steps, feature use, purchase and restoration flows, broad level groups, and whether a fast was started, partially completed or saved after reaching its goal. Technical information includes app version, operating system, device class, language and Free/Pro status. Goal and health answers, protocols, duration, exact fasting times, notes and mood are not included in these signals.

TelemetryDeck describes using identifiers hashed in multiple stages for data-minimizing analysis. Neither IDFA nor your name or email is used for these statistics, and no profiles across other apps or websites are created. To the extent personal data is processed, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: my interest in improving usability and reliability through limited usage events.

You can object to usage statistics at any time under Privacy in your profile. The app then sends no further usage events. Previously received aggregate statistics cannot be attributed specifically to you without a personal association. Technical details are available in TelemetryDeck's privacy procedure.

7. Game Center

When Game Center is enabled and you are signed in with Apple, Fastcinated may submit Fasting Points, level, lifetime coins earned and achievements to Apple. Spending does not reduce lifetime collection progress. Leaderboards may show your Game Center name and score to other participants. Personal fasting entries, duration, notes and goals are not transmitted. You can turn the feature off in your profile; manage data already stored by Apple through Game Center or your Apple Account. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR is the basis for the game feature you use.

8. Support and retention

If you contact me, I process your email address and message to handle your request (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Please send only information needed for your request. Correspondence is kept until the matter is resolved and, where necessary, to meet legal retention duties or establish or defend claims.

App entries remain in your storage until you delete them. Purchase-related data is needed while entitlements must be verified, purchases restored or legal obligations met. Your Apple services' settings and retention rules also determine how long data there is kept.

9. Your rights

Where personal data is processed, you have rights, subject to statutory conditions, to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can withdraw consent with effect for the future. You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you live. The authority in Schleswig-Holstein is the Unabhängige Landeszentrum für Datenschutz (ULD).

Contact joe@waldow.app to exercise your rights. I can only provide data actually available to me; I do not hold entries stored exclusively on your device or in your private iCloud database. There is no automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. Changes to services or data flows will be reflected in this policy.
