Chapter 3
Choosing Weight & Variation
Last time I explained to you how workouts in Treeceps are split into different exercise sets. Today we'll focus on how to determine how much weight you should use for your exercise sets.
If you've never done a certain exercise before, you'll have to experiment a bit to find out what weight or variation (e.g. on your feet, on your knees) is realistic for you personally.
You should try to choose the weight or variation of the exercise so that you end up in the recommended repetition range with only 1-2 repetitions left until you can't do any more.
Make sure you have great form until the last repetition. Good form is important to train the muscles you want the exercise to address without injury. It also allows you to evaluate your progress over time, as your sets are comparable.
Next time I'll explain what the recommended repetition range for each of the exercises is based on. Until then, good luck on your fitness journey!
